User Guide
This guide is a preview of the upcoming McreaHub workflow. Software is not yet released.
System Configuration
McreaHub relies on industry-standard tools to manage your files. Without them, the application will run in restricted mode.
Git will be required
For cloning, synchronization, and version control, you will need to install Git and Git LFS (Large File Storage).
Prepare by downloading Git →Project Management
McreaHub uses a "Sources" system to scan your folders. You cannot create a project without defining where to store it.
Add a Source
In the My Projects tab, click the folder icon . Select the parent folder on your drive (e.g., D:\MyMods).
Install an Engine
Go to All Versions, choose an MCreator version (e.g., 2024.1), and install it. It will be isolated to prevent conflicts.
Create Project
Click New. The wizard will create the following structure:
Source / ProjectName / MCVersion /.
Cloud Synchronization
Connect your GitHub account to backup your configuration and sync your projects across multiple machines.
Go to Settings > Integrations.
Generate a GitHub Token (Classic) with the following scopes:
repo
gist
Paste the token starting with ghp_ into McreaHub.
Backups (Snapshots)
Never lose your work due to workspace corruption again.
On each project card, the Safe icon allows you to create a zipped snapshot of your project. You can configure the number of backups to keep (default 5) in settings.
Notes & Productivity
The Extras edition includes a contextual note manager.
- Project Linking: Link a note to a specific project for easy retrieval.
- Gist Sync: Your notes are encrypted and stored on a private GitHub Gist.
- Color Coding: Organize your ideas by priority or category.
Translation Tools
A translation engine (based on Lingva) is integrated into the app. It allows you to automatically translate the MCreator Changelog to understand new features better.
